AADA Events - Convention

AADA CONVENTION 2012

In addition to meeting at Conference in the spring, the Alliance members meet during Convention in the fall. Typically this meeting is held at the same time as the American Dental Association (ADA) so that Alliance members can attend while their spouses are at the ADA meeting.

Convention includes meetings for the Board of Directors, various committees, and Caucus and Reference Committee hearings leading up to the House of Delegates, or annual business meeting.

Convention is also time for the Alliance to recognize its members through a Thelma J. Neff  Awards Luncheon and a Member Project Awards Brunch.

Alliance of the American Dental Association Project

Monday and Tuesday, October 10 - 11

Our very first "Head to Toe" membership project was a huge success . . . all because of you! Your kits, that included a hat, a toothbrush, and a pair of socks, and monetary contributions; your gift of time; and your warm hearts and helping hands with a desire to make a difference in another person's life made the lives of many Las Vegas residents better!

A total of 2,483 kits were packed and boxed and $702 was raised. The kits and money were divided between two not-for-profit organizations that serve Las Vegas citizens in need.

Thelma J. Neff Distinguished Service Awards for 2011

The recipients were honored on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, NV.

The Alliance of the ADA recognized ten members with the 2011 Thelma J. Neff Distinguished Service Award during the AADA Convention. The recipients, who have been members for more than ten years, were chosen for their significant contributions in the areas of leadership, dental health education, legislative advocacy, and the well being of the dental family.
