Conference

Each year, the Alliance holds its Conference in locations throughout the United States. This meeting provides fun, friendships, insight, motivation, and opportunities to learn about dental health education in your communities, well being for our families, and legislative advocacy for the new and seasoned Alliance member, as well as learning new skills for personal development.

AADA CONFERENCE 2010

April 15-April 18 — Tempe, AZ

CONFERENCE NEWS in the "ADA NEWS"!

The May 3, 2010, issue of the "ADA News" has a full page article titled "Alliance smiles in Arizona, Conference target legislative, membership and well-being activities" and five great photos on page 30.   • celebrate with the Beulah K. Spencer recipients† at the awards luncheon
  • a reception to honor the constituent presidents
  • a FUN, Foundation for Dental Health Education silent auction
  • hear legislative speakers Dr. Paul Gosar, a Flagstaff, AZ general practice dentist who is running for a congressional office; ADPAC Chair Dr. Roger Thrifthauser, who will speak about the importance of ADPAC and what ADPAC is doing; and ADA Council on Government Affairs Chair Dr. Mark Walker
  • "Maternal and Child Oral Health" is the subject of pediatrician Dr. Ray Wagner for the dental health education session
  • Meth Mouth Mary will make her appearance at the dental health education session

†At conference, the Beulah K. Spencer New Member Service Award recipients are honored for their outstanding leadership and volunteer spirit through excellence in service and commitment to their Alliance on the component (local) level and/or constituent (state) level. The recipient must have been an active tripartite member or a member-at-large (MAL) for ten years or less. This distinguished service award was established in 1994 to honor Beulah K. Spencer.
