Strategic Goals
The AADA Board of Trustees continuously evaluates its progress on its strategic goals and objectives. For 2009-2010, the goals are six strategic focus areas.
One of the six strategic focus areas has been accomplished. The delegation at the 54th Annual Session of the House of Delegates approved the new mission statement.
Strategic Planning Update
In December 2008, a group of AADA leaders led by then President-elect Carol Reitz met to review the goals and direction of the Alliance. Based on results of a survey that was available online, the group, led by facilitator Mary Byers, CAE, produced six strategic focus areas. These six areas continue to be the focus for 2009-2010.
Bylaws
The Alliance is a 501c6 non-profit organization that is incorporated in the state of Illinois. The current bylaws, revised as of December 9, 2009, were approved on October 4, 2009 by the House of Delegates.
RESOLUTIONS
QUESTION: What is a resolution?
ANSWER: A resolution is a mechanism whereby a member wishing to change the structure, governance, or bylaws of the Alliance can put their idea to a vote of the general membership. Resolutions must be formally prepared and submitted through an official protocol, are printed in the KEY issue prior to the convention and then discussed in reference committees before they are brought to the House of Delegates at the convention.
