STACIA CHAVEZ

Council Member

Stacia Chavez is a Utah native who still can't get enough of the mountains. She married her high school crush, and together they are raising four children in their hometown. As she was living in Philadelphia while her husband was in dental school, Stacia discovered the need for volunteers to serve in the community teaching oral health care.  She found the Alliance, loving that there is a framework to make this type of service more efficient and widespread; ultimately reaching more people in need.

Stacia loves nearly everything outdoors, everything botanical, composing music, ethnic cooking (and eating!), but most of all, traveling with her family. She is eagerly looking forward to serving on the national level by learning local and national needs; which the Alliance can help fulfill.

Carolyn and Philip have been married 43 years. They have 6 children ranging in ages 27 - 42, 5 boys and 1 girl, who is the youngest. Their daughter is in her 3rd year of dental school at Case Western Reserve, and married with 2 children ages 6 and 3.

The Dixon's have 8 grandchildren ranging in ages 3 - 18, and are the joy of their lives. Their oldest grandchild Olivia, was accepted into college at BYU and recently moved there.

Carolyn worked while Philip was in school, and continued on to work in his office as the office manager. She loves this profession and the friends that she has gained from it, especially through the Alliance. The knowledge and experiences that they have are priceless and forever.
