STACIA CHAVEZ

Council Member

Stacia Chavez is a Utah native who still can't get enough of the mountains.  She's married to her high school crush and together they are raising four children in their hometown.  As she was living in Philadelphia while her husband was in dental school, Stacia came to understand the need for volunteers to serve in the community teaching oral health care.  Since then she has found the Alliance and loves that there's a framework to make this type of service more efficient and widespread, ultimately reaching more people in need.
She loves nearly everything outdoors, everything botanical, composing music, ethnic cooking (and eating!,) but most of all traveling with her family.  She's eagerly looking forward to serving on the national level, learning local and national needs for which we as an Alliance can help fulfill.

CAROLYN DIXON

Council Member

Growing up in Utah I met Philip (a boy from our rival town) my senior year in high school.  I was first introduced to his friend for a date to double with some friends to go to a John Denver concert in Salt Lake City.  Philip called me a few months later and the rest is history .....
We have been married 43 years.  We have 6 children ranging in ages 27 - 42, 5 boy and 1 girl, the youngest.  She is in her 3rd year of dental school at Case Western Reserve, married with 2 children ages 6 and 3.
We have 8 grandchildren ranging in ages 3 - 18.  They are the joy of our lives with all but 1 living close by.  Our oldest, Olivia, got accepted into college at BYU and just moved there.
I worked while Philip was in school and continued on to work in his office as the office manager.  I love this profession and the friends that I've gained from it, especially through the Alliance.  The knowledge and experiences that I/we've had are priceless and forever.
