Tote Bag Exchange

While holed up at home, I took the opportunity to clean out my bedroom closet, which included sorting through a very large selection of tote bags from past AADA conferences and ADA conventions. And then an idea popped into my head. Instead of having tote bags printed for distribution at Conference 2021, why not organize a tote bag exchange.  So, here is how it will work. Each person attending Conference 2021 is asked to select a tote bag from a prior AADA conference or ADA meeting.  Do not fear if you have not maintained or have access to a hoarder's share of tote bags; several members of AADA have extensive inventories and will be willing to share. You just have to let the AADA staff know that you need a tote bag to be provided. Once you have selected a tote bag, please include a small item that is meaningful to you and that you hope will provide a shared memory for the person who receives your tote bag. You are also asked to include a short note that can explain why you selected that particular tote bag, why you selected the item included, or what membership in AADA means to you. Tote bags will be collected as we gather for the Welcome Fiesta; and each attendee will receive a bag when they decide to call it a night. You then have the next two days to make contact with the person who put together your tote bag to thank them and perhaps make a new friend.
